Chomsky: not only is his name fun to say, but he's a really smart guy.

Noam Chomsky has some important things to say about education, and we should probably listen.
MIT Professor Noam Chomsky's characterization of education is decidedly anti-indoctrination. Challenging, questioning, imaginative, cooperative. These are the words Chomsky uses to describe the ideal education. Core to this belief, education must allow the learner to construct meaning independently in order to live a life without external controls. In short, stop giving kids fish and help them learn how to fish. And if you’re under strict instructions from the state and your budget depends on mandatory testing and you must give the kids fish, could it please not come with a side of history that edits out the uncomfortable truths? Asking for a friend.
